Country music rising star, Kane Brown, uploaded a cover of Randy Travis’ iconic ‘Three Wooden Crosses’ that will send chills through your soul.

Brown’s performs the the song sans music allowing for listeners to focus on the powerful lyrics as well as his deep, gritty vocals. The singer may be classified as a modern country singer but his voice strongly airs on the side of traditional. While debatably one of his most memorable covers, “Three Wooden Crosses” is not Brown’s first cover to catch attention from the media.

The “Used to Love You Sober” singer made it through his audition for the X-Factor back in 2013 but made the decision to exit the competition when producers wanted to have him featured in a boy band. It wasn’t until the still aspiring musician began uploading home made videos of himself covering songs of the greats such as George Strait’s “Check Yes or No” raking in over 7 million views. His videos quickly earned him attention from the industry and a contract with RCA Nashville.

Brown landed a slot as opener for Florida Georgia Line on their 2016 Dig Your Roots Tour alongside Cole Swindell. You can watch his moving cover of “Three Wooden Crosses” in the video below and be sure to let us know what you think in the comments!
