Those who attended Keith Urban's concert at the The Great Jones County Fair in Monticello, Iowa knew they were in for a good show. But they had no clue just how good things were going to get.
The other scheduled performer for that night was Frankie Ballard, known for hit songs such as "Sunshine & Whiskey" and "Young & Crazy." But few people knew about his guitar skills! Well, that is, until he joined Urban during his show at the Great Jones County Fair.
It goes without saying that Urban is one of the best guitarists in country music right now. He displays his instrumental work throughout the tracks of his latest album, Ripcord, including his current single with Carrie Underwood, "The Fighter."
But during the Great Jones County Fair, Urban decided to show off his skills on a cover song. That song was "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," the iconic 1980s hit released by Southern rock group The Georgia Satellites. The song was a smash, and claimed the second spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Urban enlisted Ballard's help for the cover, and the two took turns singing lead. Though in all honesty, we feel like the crowd could have carried it all on their own...they were singing along loud and proud!
The duo also packed their performance with one electrifying guitar jam after another. They even traded guitars at one point, proving that they can rock out on anything handed to them.
Urban and Ballard's energizing performance got the crowd all hyped up, and it's easy to see why. They set that stage on fire!
Tune in below to watch Urban and Ballard's impressive rendition of "Keep Your Hands to Yourself." After watching this, we're itching to see them collaborate again!
