Keith Urban Stops Mid-Concert To Surprise Unsuspecting Person With Phone Call

One lucky Keith Urban fan got the surprise of a lifetime when the country singer pulled her up on stage during his performance at the Great Jones Country Fair in Monticello, Iowa. However, the woman’s moment in the spotlight was stolen by a very special someone at home sleeping.
The singer first noticed 36-year-old Luyre Sobaski in the crowd due to her brightly colored sign with “I Spend My #Wasted Time With Keith Urban” written across it, but it was her shirt that really stole his attention.
“What’s your shirt say?” Urban asked. “‘I love my husband but I —’Oh Jesus. But you also love me. OK.”
Flattered by the Luyre’s shirt, the country singer asked more about her husband, Derek Sobaski, whom he learned was at home sleeping preparing to wake up early for a hard day out on the farm. After hearing the couple’s story, Urban decided to give Derek a call.
“Hey, Derek. Can you hear me? This is Keith Urban right here,” the Australian singer said to the confused farmer. “I got Luyre up out of the crowd because she said she wanted to meet me, and I said we should call you. So we’re calling you right now.”
After a bit of hilarious back and forth, Urban bid Derek farewell and wished him a good night’s sleep.
