A Step In A Different Direction

Years after the North Carolina-native auditioned for Idol back in 2005, Pickler competed on Dancing With the Stars alongside Derek Hough. While the singer admits she had some dancing experience from when she was a cheerleader in high school, Pickler quickly became the season favorite with what can only be described as God-given talent.

In the fourth week of the dancing competition, Hough and Pickler performed a romantic rumba to the tune of “I Do” written by the country singer’s husband, Kyle Jacobs. Jacobs wrote the romantic ballad during the planning process of their wedding, the song expressing how he doesn’t need anything on their wedding day accept for her to say “I Do.”

Following Pickler and Hough’s gorgeous performance, Pickler joined Jacobs on stage to give him a passionate kiss. Their rumba went on to earn the dancing duo an impressive score of 26, therein advancing them further into the competition they inevitably went on to dominate.
