Kenny Chesney Dishes Embarrassing Rejection Even We Can Relate To

Kenny Chesney has quite a bit to celebrate seeing that his new album, Cosmic Hallelujah, is finally up for grabs! While Chesney was previously set to release the album almost three months ago, complications with his duet partner Pink sent the album into overtime. Although the “You And Tequila” singer admitted to Entertainment Weekly,
“Once we changed the schedule, it allowed me to dig a little deeper and give myself another three months of seeing what songs I could write.”
This superstar’s success has made him one of the most influential names in music! However, Chesney admits he wasn’t always a first choice! He opened up to TODAY and made a surprising reveal that made fans cringe in both embarrassment and the inability to fathom such a disaster!
Chesney explained that his first written song was drafted to impress a girl! However, to everyone’s dismay, what could have possibly been Chesney’s highly regarded and lavished wife turned the singer down! Yes, cue the tiny violins! However, Chesney spoke of the incident saying,
“Looking back on it, that was my first taste of rejection with my music.” He added, “It’s what every entertainer and every songwriter that tries to break into the business feels on a daily basis.”
But, hey, no shoes, no shirt, and clearly no problem for this man! We’re glad the singer was able to shake it off and produce incredible music for his fans that would happily accept a personalized song from the star!
