The expansive 8,000+ square foot home belonging to hard-rocking musical powerhouse, Kid Rock has officially been taken off the market – but at a major loss to the fan-favorite singer.

Nestled in stunning Malibu, California, Kid Rock’s elegant and luxurious beachside bungalow was first purchased by the singer in 2006 for $11.6 million. His private oasis property stayed in his possession until he listed it for sale in September 2013.

Perched perfectly at the end of a cul-de-sac, this palatial property features a seemingly-endless list of amenities like a freestanding double-sided fireplace, five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a Bali-inspired outdoor deck area, handcrafted wooden staircase, and its own glassed-in fitness area among other luxuries enjoyed by the ultra-wealthy.

According to Variety, Rock finally sold the home in recent months after listing it originally for $13.45 million and accepting an offer of $9.5 million to have someone take it off his hands. Losing multiple millions of dollars on a home that isn’t your main residence isn’t the favorite activity of celebrities, but sometimes you need to just bite the bullet.
