Kid Rock Relists Tropical Malibu Mansion For Almost $11 Million

Kid Rock has been trying to sell his mansion in Malibu for years now, but no one has purchased it so far. It was originally listed for $13.45 million in 2013, according to Zillow, and after two years on and off the market, was relisted for $12.495 in 2015.

Now, Rock has relisted the home yet again, this time for the price of $10.995 million

The Los Angeles Times states that records show Rock purchased the property in 2006 for $11.6 million. Rock hired designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to decorate the home, which looks nothing like you’d expect a major rockstar’s home to be.

He’s a crazy, mad rock star, but he’s also very mellow, and he loves to entertain in style,” Bullard said of designing the home for Rock. “His taste is surprisingly sophisticated. We weren’t going with red velvet sofas and Gothic chandeliers.

With an open floor plan, the 8,300 square foot home rests on one and a half acres, which feature a large pool, outdoor lounge, and dining pavilion with a built-in barbecue and flat screen TV. A separate guest house overlooks the pool in the backyard.

The inside of the house features an open floor plan, with large French doors leading to the outside. With five bedrooms and five bathrooms, the house also contains a chef’s kitchen, a gym, a sauna, and a formal living room.

I wanted a place that was comfortable and fun, where I could kick back, write music and hang out with friends,” Rock told the LA Times Magazine in 2008. The tropical mansion is just the place, with modern fixtures, skylights, and a three car garage.

Born in Romeo, Michigan, the Detroit area village is far from where Rock eventually set up house in Malibu. After success in multiple genres, Rock crossed over to to country with singles such as “All Summer Long,” which you can listen to below.

Hopefully Rock is able to sell his home this time around. Whoever does end up purchasing it will have a beautiful property to enjoy!
