Lauren Alaina Performs Lee Ann Womack’s ‘I Hope You Dance’ On Radio Show

To help raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, country stars including Chris Janson, Kip Moore, Dustin Lynch, Dan + Shay, and Lauren Alaina stopped by country DJ Bobby Bones’ radio show to perform their favorite covers.

Bones’ show was one of the many radio stations hosting a radiothon in hopes to raise money for St. Jude’s. Being in Nashville and being friends with many country stars, it’s no surprise that Bones got some of the genre’s hottest acts to stop by!

One of the outstanding performances from the radiothon was given by American Idol alum Lauren Alaina, who has had quite the year with the success of her self-titled album and singles “Road Less Traveled,” “Doin’ Fine,” and her “What Ifs” collaboration with Kane Brown.

She performed a fan favorite country song from 2000, Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” and was able to show off her incredibly powerful voice that has won over thousands of fans in the last few years.

It takes guts to cover a song like”I Hope You Dance” because it is an extremely hard song to sing, but Alaina gave it her all and completely blew us away.

No cover can hold a candle to Womack’s original version, but Lauren comes extremely close. Watch her incredible performance below.
