Loretta Lynn Beams With Pride As She Watches Lee Ann Womack Cover Her Hit ‘I Know How’

Performing in front of a legend is one thing, but performing their song in front of them? That takes guts!

Lee Ann Womack had enough guts to get on the Grand Ole Opry stage and sing Loretta Lynn’s “I Know How” in front of Loretta herself. It was one of the many performances honoring Lynn for her 50th Anniversary of being an Opry member.

Lynn released “I Know How” as a single off her 1970 album Loretta Lynn Writes ‘Em & Sings ‘Em. The song reached No. 4 on the country charts and became her seventeenth Top Ten single.

Womack stayed very true to Lynn’s original version, which is probably why the camera cut to the legend quite often. She gave Womack her nod of approval along with a huge smile every time.

The audience was loving Womack’s rendition. You can tell by how quickly they erupted into applause following her performance.

Womack blew Lynn a kiss and told her, “I love you!” before she walked off stage. Watch the performance below.
