In celebration of President-elect Donald Trump finally being inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States, country singer Lee Greenwood took the stage for an electrifying performance of “God Bless the USA.”

The “Make America Great Again!” celebration was in full swing as Greenwood joined “The Frontmen of Country” on stage to perform his patriotic tune in front of Trump along with the thousands in attendance at the event at Washington D.C.’s National Mall.

The singer – who originally wrote the patriotic hit in 1983 – has sang previously at the inauguration of three former presidents: Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and George W. Bush. While Greenwood isn’t one to get involved publicly with politics, stating often he wishes “God Bless the USA” not be associated with either political party, he believes our incoming president is a “patriot.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Greenwood shared, “I think he’s going to be a great president,” and that he’s “honored” he was asked to perform. The singer goes on to reprimand those who turned down the invitation to perform at the inauguration, stating, “If you don’t support the president, that’s something…For somebody to stand up and make that kind of statement, I think it’s a wrong platform.”
