Little Boy Aims To Win The Hearts Of Skynyrd Fans With ‘Gimme Three Steps’ Guitar Cover

After decades in the business, Lynyrd Skynyrd is still going strong. Their hits from the 1970’s continue to grace radio airwaves and homes across the country, proving that their music is truly timeless.

Skynyrd’s fan base is now multiple generations strong, with children and even grandchildren of Skynyrd’s original fan base listening to their songs such as “Saturday Night Special” and “Poison Whiskey.”

Some of Skynyrd’s youngest fans are their most passionate and talented, as one young boy named Mason proved. Way back in 2009, Mason sat down with who we’re assuming to be his father, grabbed his guitar, and jammed out to one of our favorite Skynyrd tunes, “Gimme Three Steps.”

With his dad playing along on the piano, Mason delivered a toe-tapping version of the Skynyrd classic. It was literally toe-tapping, because Mason could be seen tapping his foot as he played.

We’re not sure exactly how old Mason was here, but based on the age listed on his other videos, we’d say he was either nine or ten. Regardless, his cover is quite impressive!

Mason has covered many other songs over the years, including Skynyrd’s iconic “Free Bird.” Although he hasn’t shared anything recently, you should still head over to his YouTube channel to see his other videos.

We have a feeling this little guy just won the hearts of a lot of Skynyrd fans!

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Pronounced ‘Lĕh-‘nérd ‘Skin-‘nérd & Second Helping Live’ is available now on DVD, Blu-ray and digital formats – it’s the perfect gift for the Lynyrd Skynyrd fan in your life. Buy it here on Amazon!
