Loretta Lynn’s Sisters And Daughter Join Her For Dazzling Classic Country Medley

It’s no surprise that Loretta Lynn has a wildly talented family!

Many of her children and grandchildren have followed in her footsteps but so did her younger sisters Crystal Gayle and Peggy Sue, who both found success in country music. Crystal’s signature song became “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.” Peggy Sue’s debut single was “I’m Dynamite,” which ended up being her highest charting song of her career, reaching the Top Ten on the country charts.

The trio of sisters joined forces, along with Loretta’s daughter Cissy, to perform at President George H. W. Bush’s Presidential Inauguration Gala. They performed a dazzling medley of classic country songs, starting with Loretta’s signature song, “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”

The family quartet beautifully harmonized to Loretta’s signature song, which then seamlessly transitioned into “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” followed by “You’re Lookin’ At Country.”

With President Bush and the First Lady in the audience smiling, they covered the beloved Lynn Anderson song “(I Never Promised You A) Rose Garden.” The four performed a beautiful rendition of Tammy Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man,” changing the lyrics appropriately to “our men.” Loretta, Crystal, Peggy Sue, and Cissy finished out their medley with Glen Campbell’s “Try A Little Kindness.”

Loretta and President Bush were friends up until his December 2018 death. She posted a sweet note about him on her Facebook page.
