As a former Entertainer of the Year award recipient at both the CMA and ACM Awards, Luke Bryan knows he has a lot to live up to at his concerts. He always makes sure to bring his A-Game, delivering enthusiastic performances that thrill the entire crowd.
In addition to performing his own songs, Bryan carves time out of his concerts to cover other artists. While he often puts a country-fried spin on pop hits, Bryan also tries his hand at beloved country tunes.
During a show in mid-March, Bryan blew the crowd away with his swoon-worthy rendition of George Strait's classic hit, "The Chair." Released in 1985, "The Chair" is one of Strait's many number one hits.
Since "The Chair" is all about love and seduction, Bryan knew he had to go the extra mile to really woo the crowd. So he decided to take a seat at the piano, and plucked out a few notes as he sang.
But for the most part, Bryan decided to focus on delivering a performance that Strait would be proud of. Despite the fact that he was suffering from a cold at the time, Bryan managed to deliver a smooth-as-honey rendition of "The Chair" before moving into his own romantic hit, "Strip It Down."
Go ahead and scroll down below to catch the video of Bryan covering Strait's classic tune. We think he should make it a permanent part of his setlist, don't you?
Based on the crowd's reaction to his cover of "The Chair," we think that Bryan should consider covering some of Strait's other tunes! Which one of his songs would you like to hear him sing? We can't decide on just one!
