Luke Bryan Reveals Three Words That Got Him Out Of A Speeding Ticket

ET CANADA / YouTube

Seems like Luke Bryan can go just about anywhere and be noticed by someone, even in the rural country side! A few weeks ago while on a fishing trip with his two sons, Bo, 9, and Tate, 7, the country singer had a little run-in with the law.

Prior to performing at Wyoming-based country music festival, Frontier Days, Bryan enlisted his tour bus driver to drive him and his boys a few hours outside of town to Cheyenne for a little fun on the lake.

“My bus driver [and I] used a rental car to run over to Cheyenne. It was about a three-hour drive,” Bryan recalled to a reporter for Entertainment Tonight Canada. “I’ve never had him drive me around in a regular car, and it’s Wyoming, I mean, the speed limits like 80mph out there. So, we were going along pretty good.”

Losing track of how fast they were driving, the men saw those infamous red and blue lights flash in their rear view. While the country singer admitted they weren’t even sure if their rental car had proper insurance, lucky for them, the cop decided to approach Bryan’s window instead of the driver’s side.

“We pull over and he comes to my side of the vehicle. So, I’m like, ‘Oh, yes. We’re getting out of this!’” Bryan said. “We let the window down and he walks up to the car. He’s like, ‘Where are you guys going?’ I’m like, ‘Well I’m performing tonight over at Cheyenne Frontier Days,” said Bryan, before telling the cop, “I’m Luke Bryan.’”

And with just those three little words, the country superstar got off scotch free. You can hear the country singer’s entire story below!
