He’s worn and he’s haggard.

That’s how Drake White stars off his love song “Makin’ Me Look Good Again”, which he wrote for his wife, Alex. He sings that he’s “seen better days,” but with her by his side, he looks good no matter what.

“My wife is the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he told Rolling Stone. “The concept of when she’s standing beside me, I look a lot better than when she’s not standing beside me, is what the song was written off of.”

Sitting on the bar top at The Bluestone in Columbus, Ohio, White performed his gritty love song and he https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2Qt_Ep2tqgwill completely blow you away. Hearing the stripped down version with these incredible acoustics is almost life changing.

When he sings the lyric, “Whiskey and wine, they go just fine, like you and me, girl,” your heart is guaranteed to flutter.

Recently, White admitted that his father-in-law gave him the idea for the song. While leaving his wife’s parent’s house with her on his arm, his father-in-law said, “Man, she makes you look good.”

“That’s where the title [came from], and I sat there and spoke it into my phone. I said, ‘There you go baby, makin’ me look good again.’ And within a year, I’d written it with the co-writers,” he said.

We’re sure this chilling love song will be played at many weddings to come, but for now, sit back and listen to White’s amazing stripped down version.
