Miranda Lambert Interrupts Own Concert To Make Honest Confession

Ever since the release of her double album The Weight of These Wings in November 2016, Miranda Lambert has been one of the busiest artists in country music. To support the album, Lambert hit the road for her Highway Vagabond Tour, which has occupied most of her year so far.
Those who have turned out to watch Lambert perform have been witnesses to some outstanding shows. Lambert performs a good mix of old and new songs at her concerts, including the first single off of The Weight of These Wings, “Vice.”
“Vice” was released in July 2016 and became one of the hottest country hits of the summer. The emotional song is told from the perspective of a woman who keeps hopping from one vice to another in a never-ending cycle.
Lambert’s fans felt a powerful connection to “Vice,” and helped send it near the top of the charts. It claimed the second spot on the U.S. Hot Country Songs chart and reached the 11th position on the U.S. Country Airplay chart.
As you would expect, “Vice”means a lot to Lambert, who co-wrote it. So when her performance of the song went a bit awry during a recent concert, she knew she had to make it right.
During her concert on Saturday (June 24) at the LakeShake Festival in Chicago, Lambert could tell that something wasn’t right as she started singing “Vice.” It turns out that her in-ear monitors weren’t working, and she was having trouble hearing herself as she sang.
Instead of powering through and delivering a messy performance, Lambert interrupted her own concert to make an honest confession to her fans. She let them know exactly what the problem was, asking, “Can I start over? I can’t hear s— up here. I love this song and I want it to be awesome. Can I start over?“

Of course the fans had no problem with that, and they cheered like wild as Lambert prepared to start “Vice” again. Once the in-ear monitors started cooperating, Lambert ended up delivering one powerful performance of “Vice” that surely impressed. You can check that out below.
This is one of the many reasons why we love Lambert. She cares about her fans, and it shows!
