If Miranda Lambert isn’t on the road or in the studio, it’s guaranteed that you can find her spending time at home with her many beloved pets. Lambert owns a whopping total of 18 pets, including her seven dogs and several cats.

In February, Lambert and her boyfriend Anderson East welcomed some new members into their family when they adopted two cats and a kitten from a shelter in Tennessee. During an interview with Rare Country, Lambert revealed that the kitten has been running the show at home.

Her name is Bobby McGee, and she’s kind of started to prove herself as a little bit of the queen of the farm,” she said. “She’s the baby, but she’s feisty. It’s interesting.

All of Lambert’s pets are showered with endless affection. As a big animal lover and a champion of pet adoption, we fully expect that Lambert will continue to add to her brood even more in the future.

Although Lambert is already a proud parent to her pets, many people are still curious to know if she wants to have children of her own. She apparently gets asked about it often enough that she has an answer all planned out to give them!

When people say, ‘Are you having children? I’m like, “I do,’” Lambert said, referring to her pets. Such a sneaky answer…but a clever one!

Right now, Lambert is enjoying as much time as she can with her pets in the midst of her busy schedule. She is currently on tour, and recently released a new album titled The Weight of These Wings. Tune in below to catch the music video for her latest single, “We Should Be Friends.”

Staying true to Lambert’s style, the video for “We Should Be Friends” also features a few of her furry friends. Be on the lookout for them!
