After a year with no new music, Miranda Lambert made a huge statement when she released her single, “Vice.” The song dropped on July 18, and according to Billboard, is Lambert’s highest-ranking debut on the charts, coming in at the second spot immediately after its release.

Co-written by Lambert and songwriters Shane McNally and Josh Osbourne, “Vice” is the first single Lambert’s released since her high-profile divorce from Blake Shelton, and is therefore more vulnerable than anything she has ever released before.

We all have things in our life that aren’t necessarily pleasant to talk about, but this song is just as honest as you can get,” Lambert said in a short video she posted to her Facebook page about the song.

Ten days after Lambert released “Vice,” she stood in front of a crowd in Cleveland, Ohio to make an exciting announcement. She was about to perform the song live for the first time ever.

The crowd went wild when they heard that Lambert was going to sing the song that’s currently tearing up the charts. Lambert expressed her thankfulness to the audience and all of her fans for the support, saying “I was really nervous to put it out but thank you so much for a great response, I really appreciate it.

As Lambert started singing, the crowd sang every word along with her. The passion in her voice and actions could not be ignored, and she delivered an emotional performance that left the crowd roaring.

You can watch Lambert’s first live performance of “Vice” in the video below. Now the only thing we need to see is a music video!
