Miranda Lambert Sings Of Unbearable Heartbreak In Devastating New Release ‘Tin Man’

Miranda Lambert

Country music superstar Miranda Lambert has released her highly anticipated album, The Weight Of These Wings, and fans are anything but disappointed. While a variety of the soundtrack’s music is fiery and upbeat, Lambert has also incorporated tragic songs of heartbreak and acceptance. Perhaps the most devastating of them all, one song titled “Tin Man” has done its job of evoking crippling emotions from unsuspecting listeners.

The crushing ballad embodies a conversation between Lambert and a tin man, one similar to the character deriving from the classic movie The Wizard Of Oz who desperately wants a heart. Her broken lyrics read,

“Hey there, Mr. Tin Man/ You don’t know how lucky you are/ You shouldn’t spend your whole life wishin’/ For something bound to fall apart.” She sorrowfully continues, Everytime you’re feeling empty/ Better thank your lucky stars/ If you ever felt one breakin’/ You’d never want a heart.”

Lambert’s sweet and melody-ridden vocals carry the mournful song, as she despairingly ends her song with “By the way there, Mr. Tin Man/ If you don’t mind the scars/ You give me your armor/ And you can have my heart.”

You can experience her emotional rollercoaster of a song below.
