“Nashville” Actresses Lennon & Maisy Perform Rendition of “Silent Night”

In 2015, sisters Lennon and Maisy Stella performed a haunting rendition of “Silent Night.”

Standing in the lobby of the Tennessee State Capital, the sisters and stars of the hit show Nashville, sang a beautiful version of the Christmas classic “Silent Night.”

Who are Lennon & Maisy?

Lennon & Maisy rose to fame after their cover of Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” went viral in May 2012.

They joined the cast of ABC’s Nashville in 2012 and have made appearances on The View and Good Morning America. They have performed at the CMAs and even The Grand Ole Opry a handful of times!

They continued to star on Nashville its entire six seasons, until the show ended in 2018. While their professional careers have really taken off, they always stay true to who they are and to their fans by posting covers regularly on YouTube and Facebook.

Lennon eventually embarked on a successful solo career.

She released her debut EP Love, Me and her debut album, titled Three. Two. One., was released in 2020. She went on to open for Anne-Marie as well as the band 5 Seconds of Summer. Most recently, she recorded a version of “Hey Beautiful” as the theme song for the TV show How I Met Your Father.

Maisy also had success as a solo performer.

The younger sibling’s debut single “Rising Free” was released in 2o17 as part of the soundtrack for the series Spirit Riding Free. 

While they aren’t an official duo anymore, they are still sisters and enjoy singing together, as you can see in the video below, which was posted in April 2023.

“Silent Night”

This one, in particular, is one of our favorites. Not because it’s a Christmas song, and we really love Christmas, but because their voices have matured over the years and musically, this is one of their best performances yet.

Lennon & Maisy’s cover of this song is hauntingly beautiful, and their harmonies are perfection. The State Capital building offers incredible acoustics!

We can’t wait to see what else Lennon & Maisy have up their sleeves for us!
