10-year-old Mason Ramsey snagged local fame, as an impromptu video of his unbelievable Walmart performance went viral and earned this little entertainer an abundance of praise.
A nearby shopper, Roy Talley, heard the little boy singing some tunes throughout the store and was simply captivated by Ramsey’s talent and passion for music. Talley approached the boy and kindly asked if he could possibly perform a few songs for a recording that he would share with his friends on social media.
Ramsey was said to be elated, giving his newfound fan and nearby listeners one hell of a performance of some of country legend Hank Williams‘ finest classics.
Sporting his cowboy hat and camouflage jacket, Ramsey sat comfortably in his shopping cart as he treated viewers to an impressive performance of “Hey Good Lookin’,” delving into the classic hit with his southern twang and passion for country music
As he wrapped up his first song, Talley asked the boy if he would so kindly give his rendition to the song “Lovesick Blues,” to which the boy happily obliged.
If he looks – or sounds – familiar, you aren’t crazy! Ramsey has just recently achieved National Fame for another one of his Walmart performances that caught the attention of Ellen DeGeneres!
She brought him on her show and revealed that she got him a spot on the Grand Ole Opry bill for Saturday, April 14! He made his debut and stood in the same circle his hero, Hank Williams, once stood in. Check out his Grand Ole Opry debut here.
Check out the performance below that started it all for him!
