Pentatonix Gives Patsy Cline’s ‘Walkin’ After Midnight’ An A Cappella Makeover

Remember a cappella super group Pentatonix as the third season champions of NBC’s competition show Sing Off? The a cappella group is back with a tantalizing cover of Patsy Cline’s classic “Walkin’ After Midnight!”

Pentatonix’s Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, and Sam Tsui joined forces with Fox Network’s crime comedy BONES for a mash up cover of Patsy’s classic intertwined with pop superstar Sia’s “Chandelier.”

“This episode is an a cappella themed episode,” Hoying explains. “We’re doing ‘Walkin’ After Midnight’ by Patsy Cline slash Chandelier by Sia mash-up.”

The group then breaks out into medley of the two songs making for a pleasing yet unexpected sound. Filmed at what is presumably the set of BONES, the group delivers a both lively and memorable performance of the classic-meets-modern mash-up.

BONES is a dark comedy television series where law enforcement agents solve crimes using left behind body parts. Pentatonix’s masterful a cappella remix of “Walkin’ After Midnight” is featured on episode “The Strike in the Chord” aired in May 2016.
