Police Officer Gets Interrupted Mid-Press Conference. What Happens Next? Wasn’t Expecting THIS

San Diego Police Department’s Chief of Police, Shelley Zimmerman, was set to speak at a press conference regarding being challenged in the latest Internet craze, “The Running Man Challenge”.

Unfortunately, she had other matters to discuss with the mayor, so she handed off her duties to Lieutenant Scott Wahl. As he stood in front of reporters announcing that the SDPD did not have time for the Running Man Challenge, one of his police officers interrupted him.

Appalled, the officer asked, “What are you talking about Lt.? We don’t have time for the Running Man Challenge?

Before Lt. Wahl could get a word in, the officer yells, “Oh, we got time! Hit it!

A flash mob began right at the press conference and everyone started dancing to Ghost Town DJs’ “My Boo”.

Everyone began doing the Running Man Challenge and looked like they were having SO much fun. Every department was represented!

Police officers were able to show off their fun side and some dance skills, too! They even got the K-9’s in on the fun!

Officers were dancing all over San Diego. They were on the flight deck of the USS Midway, Wilson Memorial Park, the Charger’s training field (with some of the players), and the Pad Squad joined the fun at Petco Park.

They took the party to San Diego’s historic Balboa Park and to the beach, to show off some of San Diego’s best locations!

Obviously, we now know the press conference was staged for the video, but we aren’t mad about it!

In a press release, the police department said, “We did this because this challenge has been about having fun and we wanted to do that with our community. It allows us to show a side of ourselves that people don’t normally get to see.
