The impact that Lynyrd Skynyrd has made on the music industry is immeasurable. Many bands who established themselves after Skynyrd cite the Southern rockers as a main source of inspiration, including one band by the name of Preacher Stone.
Preacher Stone was established in 2008 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their debut album was released in 2009, but their real breakthrough came when their music was featured during two seasons of the popular television show, Sons of Anarchy.
Over the years, Preacher Stone has had the opportunity to tour with some of the greatest acts in music, including ZZ Top, Molly Hatchet, and even Skynyrd.
Since their connection to Skynyrd is strong, Preacher Stone decided to honor the band by covering one of their classics during their “Sunday Jam Sessions.” The song they chose was “I Know a Little,” and with acoustic guitars in hand, band members Marty Hill and Ronnie Riddle started playing.
Although there was a small audience watching them, Riddle and Hill were focused on nothing but the music. They seemed completely lost in the song, and poured all of their energy into their performance.
These two jammed out like it was nobody else’s business, and the result was one rockin’ cover! Check out their performance in the video below, and let us know what you think.
