RaeLynn gets vulnerable with her fans in her ultra-emotional “Love Triangle” music video and opens up about the heartbreaking truth of her childhood.

“When I was 3, my mom and dad got a divorce,” shares RaeLynn in a press release regarding the track. “I grew up being that kid who relaying information back and forth, walking on eggshells, knowing that when I’m with my dad I can’t talk with my mom because it would trigger things.”

By the end of her four minute long video, RaeLynn is in tears singing the truth of her childhood. RaeLynn sits on the ground dressed in black while a young girl (young RaeLynn) is pulled back and forth between her mother and father’s house.

The country singer goes over different struggles children from broken families go through, from struggling to say goodbye to her father after their weekends spent at the bowling alley and two-dollar matinees to then comforting her crying mother because she missed her when she was away, RaeLynn covers it all

“The day we [RaeLynn, Nicolle Galyon and Jimmy Robbins] wrote the song I almost canceled because my parents were bickering and I was pulled into the middle of it,” says RaeLynn. “I still cry ever time I hear it…It’s my favorite song I’ve ever written.”

“Love Triangle” is the latest single off RaeLynn’s upcoming debut album. Watch her emotional music video below and be sure to keep a tissue handy.
