Pulling off one of the most epic surprises country fans have ever experienced, one country star shocked his audience when his CMA Fest performance featured an icon no one knew would be in attendance.

Standing on stage, singer Michael Ray introduced country legend Randy Travis, sending his audience into a tizzy as they awaited the singer’s entrance.

Travis was escorted onto the stage by his wife Mary, carefully walking him to his microphone as she waved to the fans and prepared her husband for his surprise duet. Ray greeted the icon with a hug before encouraging his audience before telling the audience to keep their cheers for the legend coming.

Ray began strumming his guitar as he sang the opening lyrics to Travis’ hit “Forever and Ever, Amen” while the icon stood on stage and enjoyed Ray’s tribute to him.

It was a magical moment as the audience chimed into the performance, making Travis smile from ear to ear.

Perhaps the greatest moment of the performance was when Travis closed out the song, singing the final “Amen” of the ballad, which made Ray freak out just a bit.
