One of the most romantic country ballads was born with the 1987 release of Randy Travis‘ “Forever and Ever, Amen.” Back in 2006, country heartthrob Josh Turner teamed up with the country singer for an unreal duet of the iconic country ballad.

The country crooners traded off singing the ultra romantic lyrics, surely melting the hearts of every woman in the audience. While their individual solos were captivating throughout the entire performance, the best part is definitely when they intertwined their vocals for dazzling harmonies. Turner proved his ability to hold his own with the best in the business, his deep sultry vocals flying through the air like silk.

“Forever and Ever, Amen” was recorded by the country singer in January of 1987, released as a single two month later in March that year. The song quickly rose to No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs, going on to win a Grammy for “Best Country & Western Song.”
