It takes a lot for a country act to miss one of the biggest nights in country music, The CMT Music Awards. Rascal Flatts are Ohio natives, so when the Cleveland Cavaliers asked them to perform the National Anthem before tip-off of Game 3 of the NBA Finals, they couldn’t turn it down.

The trio formed in Columbus, Ohio back 1999 and have been singing sweet harmonies ever since.

Gary LeVox kicked off the song a cappella, and bandmates Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney joined in after a few bars, displaying their signature three-part harmony.

When they hit the high note in the patriotic song, we got the chills! They definitely made their home state, and their country proud with this rendition!

Rascal Flatts joins a long line of country stars to perform the National Anthem at a playoff game. Recently, many country singers have been performing before Nashville Predators games including Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Little Big Town, Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood
