On the day after Super Bowl Sunday, everyone is obviously talking about the winner of the game, but they also can’t stop talking about all the commercials that air during the game.
Lots of people look forward to the commercials, some even calling it the best part of the game. While this year’s commercials were memorable, do y’all remember when a few Duck Dynasty stars were in a Super Bowl commercial? Let us refresh your memory!
During the 2014 game between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks, Time Warner Cable aired an ad that featured many prominent TV stars and celebrities, Duck Dynasty included.
The commercial begins with True Blood‘s Stephen Moyer walking into a house he thinks is owned by his love Sookie. Rapper Diddy is actually telling Sookie about all the cool things Time Warner Cable is rolling out.
“Welcome to the new world of Time Warner Cable! We got the best entertainment and best ways to get it. We gonna be on your phones, tablets, and computers,” Diddy says, walking us through a huge warehouse of TV’s biggest stars.
Willie, Jase, and Si Robertson are in a glass display case, where Si yells, “Fire in the hole!” and a huge explosion goes off.
The commercial was to promote the new Time Warner Cable app, where you can watch TV anywhere – on your TV, computer, phone, or tablet. Duck Dynasty was a huge pop culture phenomenon, so it’s no surprise they asked Willie, Jase, and Si to participate!
