‘Tis the season, y’all!

As Thanksgiving is just a couple days away, that means that Christmas is around the corner! This is our favorite holiday, so you can imagine just how excited we are!

Every family has their own traditions around the holidays, including the Robertsons from the A&E show Duck Dynasty. During the red carpet portion of the Dove Awards, CCM Magazine caught up with Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson to talk to her about presenting, her tour, and her family’s Christmas traditions.

“We have some funny holiday traditions,” she said. “So, our whole family lives in the same neighborhood, which is a neighborhood of 75 members of our family. They call it the Robertson compound. We go from house to house to house and then we end up at a house, normally my grandma’s house, and we do a talent show. Each family has to bring a talent…or do a skit that involves something that happened during the year. Super fun, super creative, and I love it!!”

CCM Magazine’s Kelly Sutton asked what talent Sadie and her immediate family bring to the table, and Sadie’s answer did not disappoint.

“Our family, we do a skit each year about the biggest thing that happened that year. So when I was on ‘Dancing with the Stars’, we did a ‘Dancing with the Stars’ skit! My dad was Bruno, my sister was Carrie Ann and me and my brother danced, and my other brother and sister, who are terrible dancers, danced and we just had a lot of fun!”

She says there must be video footage of it somewhere and we are sending our best Internet detectives to find it!

The Robertson clan has already gotten into the Christmas spirit. Over the weekend, they decorated their very large Christmas tree and pulled out all the Christmas mugs, hats, and sweaters!
