Sara Evans Covers Sam Smith’s Ballad ‘Lay Me Down’

We all know Sara Evans has a voice that’ll rock a person to their core, as can be seen in her hit song, “Stronger.”

Sam Smith has an exceptional talent as well, and his music isn’t exactly simple to cover. Well, Sara Evans tried and succeeded at a concert in New York when she did her own jaw-dropping rendition of “Lay Me Down.”

“Lay Me Down” was released in 2013 as Sam Smith’s debut single off his album, In The Lonely Hour. Sam Smith songs are no strangers to country music. Miranda Lambert sang a beautiful rendition of “Stay With Me” that is also worth a watch.

Just wait until the chorus, because you will be truly dazzled by Sara and her insane vocals. Her voice really mirrors the emotion that the lyrics put out.

Get ready to be impressed.
