Singer Becomes Youngest ‘Voice’ Competitor In History After Mind-Blowing Blind Audition

YouTube/The Voice

When Quizz Swanigan was auditioning for the 12th season of NBC’s hit singing competition show, none of the coaches knew he was going to make history.

Singing the iconic Motown song “Who’s Lovin’ You”, the 13-year-old former Michael Jackson impersonator, wowed all four judges, but especially Alicia Keys, who pushed her button first. Gwen Stefani follow shortly after, telling Keys, “I wanted to copy you! You’re so incredible!”

Not only did Quizz become the youngest person to compete on The Voice, Stefani and Keys became the first coaches to battle each other for a singer using kindness. All they did was compliment each other, which had Adam Levine and Blake Shelton in stitches.

“You taught me how to spell bananas,” Quizz told Stefani, referencing her song “Hollaback Girl”.

“Listen to me,” Gwen told Quizz. “You could be on Team Gwen and can teach you how to spell everything!”

In the end, he could only choose one of the two female coaches. Watch his audition below to find out who he picks!
