Steven Tyler Nails Soulful Performance Of ‘Lean On Me’ With Sensational Church Choir

Aerosmith band member Steven Tyler is known for his eccentric performances and over the top apparel! However, Tyler’s voice has become a recognizable music staple for both his vocal range and immense talent. Though he clearly has strong rock ‘n roll ties, seeing that his name was established back in the rocking 70s, Tyler’s voice has also continued to carry soulful elements, most of which were perfectly displayed in a past performance of the uplifting tune “Lean On Me”.
Gracing a humble church stage, with the help of a surely talented and diverse choir, Tyler gave the hit song the “Steven Tyler touch”, complete with his quirky effects and creative vocals! Tyler, wearing a pinstripe suit and rocking his shaggy bangs, gave us an incredible rendition that captured not only the inspiring message the song conveys, but the rock ‘n roll twist that he has undeniably helped create.
The hit was recorded and made famous by singer-songwriter Bill Withers. While the original hit continues to be a stable and deemed as one of the greatest hits of all times in a former Rolling Stone article, Tyler’s twist continues to be a close second to the classic.
