Ever since Steven Tyler announced his plans to release a solo country album, his fans eagerly awaited its release. But before the album dropped, Tyler kept his fans satisfied with a couple singles, including one titled “Red, White & You.”
Although Tyler originally recorded the song as a solo, another video shows him performing the song with a surprising duet partner…himself.
Now we know what you’re thinking, how could that be possible? Well, as it turns out, Tyler sang “Red, White & You” with a portrait of himself, and not just any portrait, but one made of Skittles.
Surprisingly, this wasn’t the first time Tyler appeared alongside his singing Skittles portrait. The duo made their first appearance together for Skittles’ Super Bowl commercial in 2016.
Tyler’s “Red, White & You” duet with his Skittles portrait is part of another commercial, which is just as hilarious as you would expect.
While Tyler sits at a piano, his Skittles portrait asks him what it’s like to be the “real” Steven Tyler. When Tyler says that it’s basically the same, the portrait points out all of the differences between them, saying, “I’ll never wear leather pants, become proficient with nunchucks, or even write a song.”
That’s when they decide to write a song then and there, and the two Tylers bust out into “Red, White & You,” with the Skittles portrait getting in the last high note.
This is one video you simply have to see for yourself!
