Popstar Surprises Sugarland Fans With Sexy ‘Come On Eileen’ Performance

A country band singing a rock song with a popstar? We are obsessed! Grammy-nominated singer Sara Bareilles surprised Sugarland and their fans back in 2011 for a rocking performance of ’80s hit, “Come On Eileen.”

Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles kicked off the sensual performance, sexily singing the opening lyrics slowly before Bareilles storms the stage just as the band begins to drastically speed up the tempo. The talented vocalists epically performed the classic rock song, Nettles and Bareilles dancing around the stage together throughout the performance.  

“Come on Eileen, oh I swear (what he means)/ At this moment, you mean everything,” they seductively sing the sensual lyrics. “You in that dress, my thoughts I confess/ Verge on dirty/ Ah, come on Eileen.”

“Come On Eileen” was released by English rock band Dexys Midnight Runners back in 1982. The song was career-defining megahit for the band, going on to win “Best British Single” in addition to being voted the United Kingdom’s sixth favorite No.1 hit of the 1980s.
