Chris Young headlined the Chilifest Music Festival in Snook, Texas

Over the weekend, country star Chris Young was the headlining artist at Chilifest, a two-day festival that draws over 35,000 attendees annually. According to the event website, the festival aims to “give back to local charities throughout the Brazos Valley and its surrounding areas while providing a unique festival experience to attendees.

On Saturday night (April 7), Young was performing when a fan allegedly hurled a beer onto the stage, nearly hitting the singer. The “Famous Friends” singer abruptly stops the show to address the man in the crowd:

“If you can’t fight me in the parking lot when I’m 6’4″ and 255 [lbs], stop throwing s**t.”

As the culprit is being removed from the audience, Young tells security guards to get the man’s name as he plans to ban him from his future concerts. He says he does not want him to “ever come to one of my ****ing shows ever again,” before resuming the performance.

Expect the unexpected on stage

Chris Young is no stranger to unexpected interruptions while performing. In 2016, on the final night of the I’m Comin’ Over Tour, tour opener Cassadee Pope and the crew decided to play a hilarious prank on Young.

When it was time for Pope to take the stage for the duet “Think Of You,” tour manager Bill Cracknell appeared in her place, decked out in a dress, heels, and wig that matched Pope’s look for the night.

Young’s reaction is priceless and he fell to the floor in a fit of laughter. Pope eventually walked out on stage and once the laughter subsided, the rightful duet parents resumed the song.

The “Voice” star shared a video of the comical incident online saying, “Ladies and gentlemen… I give you my finest tour prank to date.
