Traveling on a tour bus can be a luxury, but it comes with its share of risks. Many artists have been involved in crashes, some without a good outcome.
In 2019, a tour bus carrying members of Josh Turner‘s crew was involved in a fatal accident. The crash claimed the life of Turner’s longtime sound engineer, David Turner.
A bus belonging to Queen of Bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent, was involved in a hit and run accident in 2016. While Vincent wasn’t on board at the time, she reported that the bus was traveling on the interstate when a semi headed straight for the bus. Mickey Harris, the band’s bass player was behind the wheel at the time, and swerved to avoid a collision. The truck struck the bus then fled the scene. Thankfully no injuries were reported.
Our thoughts and prayers are with John Michael Montgomery, his team, and everyone else involved in this frightening accident.
