Despite a strong 50+ year marriage to one of the entertainment industry’s most coveted icons, Parton’s husband, Carl Dean, has managed to remain an alluring mystery.
Dolly’s younger sister, Stella, fortunately gave fans her two cents on the private couple, admitting to Closer, “They’re very unique, but they complement each other. They let each other be free to be the way they are.
Stella was quick to acknowledge that her brother-in-law is a reclusive man, but the family can always count on him to attend family functions and important events.

However, it’s the public events that Dolly’s husband chooses not to attend.
“He thinks of all that as foolishness. But he doesn’t say anything about us doing it because ‘That’s what the girls do’,” Stella laughed. However, she thinks the world of her sister’s partner for life, adding that their anonymity seems to be the glue that keeps the two together!
