Talented Teens Recreate Carrie Underwood & Randy Travis’ ‘I Told You So’ Duet

If her performances on American Idol didn’t convince you, her version of Randy Travis’ song “I Told You So” solidified that Carrie Underwood was meant to be a country music star.

She included her now Platinum-selling rendition of the classic tune on her second album, Carnival Ride, in 2007. Two years later, she and Travis recorded a duet version, which they also performed on an episode of American Idol.

Their incredible duet earned them a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals the next year. Since then, many aspiring musicians have teamed up to cover this timeless duet.

One of those pairs were Justen Harden and Rachel Perkins. Though many miles away, the duo was able to each film themselves singing their respective parts and edit the video together seamlessly.

Perkins kicked off the duet singing Underwood’s part, debuting her angelic vocals to excited viewers. Harden surprised us with his mature tone, quite similar to the likes of Josh Turner and Travis himself.

The best part, though, was when they joined together for the chorus, flawlessly harmonizing together as if they’d been singing together for years.

Watch their duet below and let us know what you think of it in the comments.
