‘Tennessee Whiskey’ Dad Returns With Heart-Stopping Cover Of ‘Stand By Me’

The dad who went viral after his wife posted his jaw-dropping delivery of “Tennessee Whiskey” – accumulating million views on YouTube since its publication in early 2017 – returned with a heart-stomping cover of “Stand By Me.”

Jones found massive success after his “Tennessee Whiskey” cover, originally recorded by George Jones and re-popularized by Chris Stapleton at the 2015 CMA Awards, went viral.

He has returned with with a bluesy cover of Ben E. King’s classic. Jones stayed true to his past performances, remaining behind the wheel of his car for a breathtaking delivery, sans any retouching to his stellar vocals.

“Thank you,” he said prior to his performance. “Y’all don’t really know how much this really means to me. How much it means to my family. Everything that I’ve done in life, I’ve worked so, so hard for. Nothing, nothing was ever given to me. It’s been a really long, hard road and I’m thankful for being where I am today.”
