The Dynamic Duo Of Trace Adkins & Blake Shelton Teams Up For Comedic Duet, ‘If I Was A Woman’

CMT

Two years after the smash success of their duet, “Hillbilly Bone,” the dynamic duo of Trace Adkins and Blake Shelton reunited on another track. Called “If I Was a Woman,” the track was included on the Deluxe Edition of Adkins’ 2011 album, Proud to Be Here

If you thought “Hillbilly Bone” was funny, just wait until you hear these two buddies sing “If I Was a Woman.” Adkins co-wrote the comedic tune, which he sings back and forth with Shelton in a conversational tone.

In the song, Adkins and Shelton sing of how if they were women, they would fall in love with men like themselves. One of the most hilarious parts of the song comes during an instrumental break, when Shelton starts singing before he’s supposed to, prompting Adkins’ to say “you’re too stupid to be a woman.”

The jazzy tune is so much fun to listen to, you’ll want to play it again and again. And you can if you tune in to the clip below, which includes an audio recording of the song.

If you don’t get enough of Adkins’ music from listening to “If I Was a Woman,” then you need to check out his latest single, “Lit.” It’s just as much fun as both of his duets with Shelton, and its lyrics are just as quirky.

Seriously, how many songs have you ever listened to that talk about grandpas fishing with dynamite? We bet not many!

So go ahead and check out the lyric video for “Lit” below, and if you still can’t get enough, be sure to download the track here!
