This 15-Year-Old Will Leave You Mesmerized With Her Acoustic ‘Ring Of Fire’ Cover

There are few songs that have been able to stand the test of time, and Johnny Cash‘s “Ring of Fire” is one of them. First performed by June Carter Cash‘s sister, Anita, “Ring of Fire” became an instant classic when Johnny recorded his own version.

Many other artists have since provided their own takes on the tune. It is also a favorite of up-and-coming singers, including one young girl with a breathtaking voice.

15-year-old Layne Elizabeth stopped by the famous Norman’s Rare Guitars shop in California and caught the attention of the founder, Norm. After hearing her sing, Norm knew he had to share Layne’s gift with the world, so he posted a video on his YouTube channel of her singing in his shop.

Without a single hint of hesitation, Layne moved right into singing “Ring of Fire,” and we were mesmerized from the start. Her voice is sweet and light as a feather, and she is a talented guitarist on top of all of that.

The way that Layne styled her performance made her rendition of “Ring of Fire” distinct from all others. Her phrasing was unique, and unlike anything we’ve ever heard another artist do with the song.

Norm was visibly impressed by what he heard, and we were too! This young gal has so much talent inside of her, and we’re happy to share it with you. Tune in below to watch her beautifully sing “Ring of Fire.”

If you want to hear Layne sing some more, check out her Facebook page or her YouTube channel, where she has a video of one of her original songs in addition to some covers.

We think Layne’s got a bright future ahead of her, don’t you?
