This Man’s Emotional Cover Of Montgomery Gentry’s “Clouds” Will Bring You To Your Knees

With just a simple keyboard and microphone, a young man delivers a heartbreaking rendition of this country duo’s beloved song.

Written by Eddie Montgomery for those he has lost, this beautiful song is a tune meant for healing, remembrance, and love. The narrator goes through a period of thinking and questioning when he stares up at the clouds, curious if the loved ones he’s lost are looking down.

“Clouds rolling by way up high
Sometimes I wonder if you’re up
There in the clouds

When it rains skies are gray
Is that you crying up there somewhere in the clouds
I hate sunny days nothing but empty blue skies so I pray
Oh how I pray for clouds”

One of the most powerful tracks off of Montgomery Gentry’s fifth album, Some People Change, the song was penned straight from the heart – and you can tell when they sing it!

The same emotions are evident when Jacob Gagnon sings this stunning piece of music, and you can hear his passion with every breath! A young software engineer, Gagnon loves to sing and perform music in his spare time – clearly something he’s good at!
