Country Stars Make Fans Feel Special

Every now and then, country stars give one lucky fan a night to remember when they invite them to step up on stage. Keith Urban is famous for pulling fans out of the crowd to join him mid-concert to make a memory that is sure to last a lifetime.

Sometimes country fans even get the chance to sing along with the artist, something that one deserving Thomas Rhett fan got to experience in July 2016.

While performing during a concert in Greeley, Colorado, Rhett scanned the crowd for someone to bring on stage for a duet. That’s when one fan caught his eye, and he motioned for him to head up on stage.

Sharing A Duet To A Hit Garth Track

Once the fan got on stage, Rhett gave him a hug and handed him his guitar, before he asked him an important question. Rhett wanted to know if his fan knew the famous third verse to Garth Brooks‘ mega hit, “Friends in Low Places,” because that’s what Rhett wanted to sing with him.

Surprisingly, the fan wasn’t quite sure how the third verse went!

Rhett told him that would be alright, and that the crowd would be more than willing to help him out. As the crowd cheered, the fan took the microphone from Rhett and made a shout-out to all veterans, before he shouted “Airborne,” in reference to the Army’s school that conducts basic paratrooper training.

A Fan Who Serves His Nation

It turns out the fan was serving in the Army at the time, and Rhett was quick to thank him for his service.

After that, Rhett started singing the third verse to “Friends in Low Places,” and although the fan didn’t know all of the words, he eventually caught on.

The fan definitely knew the chorus, and the whole crowd sang along with him and Rhett. At the end, Rhett asked the fan to sing “in low places” as high as he could, and the fan didn’t disappoint!
