Thomas Rhett Shares Surprising Truth About His Wife

Any time one of his music videos needs a romantic lead, Thomas Rhett knows exactly who to call…his wife, Lauren.  

Lauren has appeared in several of Thomas’ videos by now. You can catch her in the videos for “Die a Happy Man,” “Vacation,” “Star of the Show,” and the video for his latest single with Maren Morris, “Craving You.” 

Fans always look forward to seeing Lauren in Thomas’ videos. Their love for one another shines through every time, adding a natural feeling of romance to each video.

But as much as fans love watching Lauren in her husband’s music videos, they shouldn’t count on her appearances to be a regular thing. As Thomas surprisingly revealed during a recent media event, she doesn’t get that excited about being his videos:

“I feel like my fans are now like, ‘Well, why is she not going to be in all your videos?’ and I’m like, ‘She does not want to be.’ She hates being the center of attention. So any time I bring her on stage or say her name in a concert, she’s really shy, and she’s like, ‘Oh God, here we go.'”

Despite Lauren’s hesitations, Thomas can usually convince her to appear in his videos, even if it’s just for a short moment like it was for “Star of the Show.”

“I just wanted to do something different for that song,” he said. “I had to beg Lauren to be in it the little time that she was in it, but I think she made it great. It was a really fun video to make.“

Thomas is extremely grateful that Lauren agrees to be in his videos, because he feels that her presence makes the whole thing better.

“She really is such an amazing person, an amazing trouper when it comes to doing these videos,” he said. “She made the ‘[Die a] Happy Man’ video what it is, one hundred percent.“

Lauren’s appearance is also the bright light in Thomas’ latest video for “Craving You.” Thomas plays the part of a rough criminal in the fast-paced clip, while Lauren plays his love interest and source of comfort. Since she’s pregnant right now, Lauren’s baby bump also makes its music video debut in the clip.
