Thomas Rhett & Wife Lauren Make Fans’ Night At Tennessee Football Game

Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins grew up together, and were always the closest of friends. Eventually, that friendship turned into love, and now the two make up one of the most beloved couples in country music. 

Thomas and Lauren’s relationship was thrown into the spotlight when Thomas released his mega-hit love song “Die a Happy Man.” Thomas co-wrote the song, which was inspired by his relationship with Lauren, and she even appeared in the romantic music video he filmed for it.

“Die a Happy Man” already took home the ACM Award for Single Record of the Year, and was recently nominated for Single and Song of the Year for the upcoming CMA Awards in November.

Until the CMAs, Thomas is enjoying some downtime with Lauren, which includes plenty of Tennessee football. Thomas wasn’t originally a fan, but as he shared in a sweet snapshot of the couple sporting their Tennessee gear, he “married into” it.

Although Thomas may have been suffering through the game he and Lauren attended on Thursday night (September 1), some of his fans were having the time of their lives. That’s because they got the chance to meet Thomas and Lauren, as a mother of one of the fans shared in the comments, along with a cute snapshot of Thomas and Lauren with her daughter and her friend.
