Toby Keith Makes Dream Come True For Young Boy With Liver Disease

Country singer Toby Keith gave one 10-year-old an incomparable gift when he allowed the young boy an opportunity to join him in a performance of the kick ass hit “American Soldier”.

While performing a concert for fans of Cleveland, Ohio in 2005, the singer thanked his crowd as he explained, “There’s a lot of great foundations in this country who do a lot of things for people less fortunate than us. The Make-A-Wish Foundation has asked me from the Cleveland chapter here to make a young man’s dream come true tonight, so my Make-A-Wish gift to this kid is to give him what he wanted done, and he wants to sing this song with me…”

Keith introduced our little star, Trevor Scott, who was suffering from liver disease and awaiting a transplant procedure just days after his performance. The audience had no shortage of cheers and applause as little Trevor, sporting an adorable, black cowboy hat, made his way up to the country singer!

Without hesitation, the two began a performance of Keith’s patriotic hit, in which little Trevor channeled his inner entertainer and entirely stole the show! As the two started to open the song, Keith became aware that this boy was very well-versed with the lyrics, as he backed off his microphone to allow Trevor a solo moment in the spotlight!

Fans were thrilled when, years later, Trevor’s father commented on the uploaded video and informed viewers that Trevor had been with his new liver transplant for over 10 years. The once 10-year-old superstar is now a prospective law student with a bright and healthy future ahead.

We’re thrilled for such a happy ending! Check out their duet below.
