Trace Adkins & 38 Special Sing “Muddy Water” In CMT Crossroads

CMT

During what became known as one of the most epic pairings of country music and Southern rock to ever hit the stage, Trace Adkins  and 38 special pulled out all the stops in this chilling rendition of “Muddy Water”.

Teamed up for an amazing episode of CMT’s hit cross-genre series Crossroads, these two legendary music acts gave it their all and ignited the crowd with iconic collaborations that nobody could ever forget!

Performing each other’s hit songs and rocking hard on stage, 38 Special and Trace Adkins had already captured the audience’s heart by the time they pulled out one of the best songs about redemption ever recorded.

Through this haunting rendition of this you can feel the power that the song has on both acts, and how deeply the song speaks to their faith. Even Trace admits in the pre-show interview that he might not have always been a good boy, but he remembers where he came from.

This once-in-a-lifetime performance speaks to the heart with its vibrant tone of healing, reflection, and seeking of rebirth.

Another great song about reflection by Trace Adkins is something off of his newest record and paints a similar picture. “Watered Down” describes a man looking back on his life and the many things he did in the past, but accepting and acknowledging that he still enjoys them – they’re just a bit “watered down”.
