While Thanksgiving is undeniably filled with joyous gatherings and mouthwatering meals made fresh, it’s not uncommon for eaters to forget the cook slaving away in the kitchen to ensure a delectable turkey fills your plate.
Although the job may sound glamorous and filled with praise, it’s often a stressful experience that runs a dangerous risk when it comes to manhandling a 10 lb., slippery turkey. Thankfully, country music singer and kitchen aficionado Trisha Yearwood is here to make your Thanksgiving simple and quick, leaving more time for socialization and wine!
Yearwood’s recipe was hastily posted to the Food Network website, and we must say this looks like a task that no cook, amateur or master, can mess up! The “Queen of the Kitchen” broke it down for us in a name that screams easy!
Here’s what you’ll need!
1 (12-pound) Turkey, completely thawed, all giblets removed
1/2 cup(s) Salted Butter, softened
2 tablespoon(s) Salt
2 teaspoon(s) Pepper
2 stalk(s) Celery, cut in lengths to fit turkey cavity
1 medium Sweet Onion (Such As Vidalia), cut in half
1 large Carrot
2 cup(s) Boiling Water
Be sure to show the chef of the evening just how thankful you are for them and head over here for more of Yearwood’s scrumptious recipes. As for the cooking background music…you can listen to Trisha’s hit, “She’s In Love With The Boy” in the video below!
