The passing of a legendary country music performer and iconic superstar has left everyone in the country music mourning – and many are honoring his memory in the only way they know how: through music.

One half of insanely talented country duo Montgomery Gentry, Troy Gentry, took to social media with satellite radio station SiriusXM The Highway to show his deep sense of loss in the wake of Glen Campbell‘s passing.

This pared-down version of one of country’s greatest hits is a true reminder of how deeply the country music community is connected and how greatly a song from one artist can help shape another.

Watch Troy Gentry pour every bit of himself into this stunning rendition of “Rhinestone Cowboy” honoring Glen Campbell.
